The 2018 Nobel Laureates in chemistry and physics visit Uppsala University and give a public lecture on the research that led to their Nobel Prize.
For many years it has been a tradition to invite the new Nobel Prize laureates to Uppsala University in connection with the Nobel Prize festivities in Stockholm. The programme for the visit includes a reception with the Vice-Chancellor and lunch at Uppsala Castle, but also the much appreciated and well-attended public lectures by the visiting laureates.
