Degree Projects (Ex-jobb) in Accelerator Physics
The following degree project are available at the department:
1) Data analysis of RF breakdown.
To analyse data from the test stand to improve the understanding of RF breakdown. This entails the development and application of data analysis tools in MATLAB.
2) Image current model.
To develop a model of image currents from particles passing by at short distance from one of our detectors and determine limits for the measurements. This will involve mostly electromagnetic simulations.
3) Beam effects of RF breakdown.
Determine limits for the effect of RF breakdown on the beam in order to maintain the average luminosity of a future linear collider (CLIC).
This will mainly involve semi-analytical methods and computer simulations.
