Each year the Faculty of Science and Technology arranges the Celsius-Linnaeus honorary lectures in memory of Anders Celsius, astronomer and physicist, and Carl von Linné, physician and botanist. This years Celsius-Linnaeus Lecturers are Professor Johan Rockström, Potsdam University and Professor John. A. Rogers, Northwestern University.
