Exchange Program with University of São Paulo, Brazil

Application for exchange Program with University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil is now open.

University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil, and Uppsala University (UU) have established a bilateral exchange program on the Master’s level in physics. The aim is to create an enriching international experience for students, where they can gain intercultural experience and develop a new professional network, which are key aspects for a successful career development of up-and-coming physicists.

The call

The selected students will have the opportunity to study at USP for the full academic semester of the Spring 2020. Two scholarships will be granted to cover excess costs, e.g. flight ticket and housing. The applicant should be enrolled as a regular Master’s student in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Uppsala University. These are some of the courses offered at University of Sao Paulo during the Spring 2020:
1. Emergent Phenomena in Correlated Quantum Matter
2. Quantum Information
3. Quantum Field Theory I
4. Quantum Mechanics II

The students will have the opportunity to attend courses and also develop a research project receiving full credits at UU. The exchange organizers on either side will work with you in creating a unique syllabus for your stay!

Decision will be announced by the end of November 2019.
