Since its founding in 1953 with the aim of bringing back world-class science to the continent after WWII, CERN has become a prime example of international collaboration, boasting a unique range of particle accelerator facilities that enable research at the forefront of human knowledge. The talk will guide you through a short history of CERN and the scientific milestones it has achieved so far will be presented.
