Project within Dynamic Quantum Matter is Granted 28 Millions

The Department of Physics and Astronomy was fellow applicant to the project Dynamic Quantum Matter which was granted 28 million SEK during five years from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation 2019.

The Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation is Sweden's largest private research financier and in total the foundation granted 640 million SEK in project grants for 2019 to 20 research projects. The projects which is awarded grants from the foundation are assessed to hold the highest international standards within basic research within medicine, technology and natural sciences, and for interdisciplinary projects. The projects in question for grants from the foundation shall also have the opportunity to lead to future scientific breakthroughs. The assessment of the projects is done according to a strict peer review procedure, where the applications are assessed by the foremost international researchers within their fields.
